14. Networking Event
In addition to information on news from the network, Prof. Peter Gust from the University of Wuppertal will give a keynote speech on current standards according to GPS norms. GPS norms are the current standard for the specification of form and position tolerances on technical drawings.
From company Keyence Mr. Jens Boddenberg will demonstrate live the digital inspection station XM, which closes the gap between coordinate measuring machines and hand-held measuring devices. The image-guided 3D coordinate measuring machine makes it possible to quickly solve even complex 3D measurements in worker self-control and to easily perform form and position tolerances such as the measurement of roundness, parallelism, position, flatness and symmetry. The measurement results are automatically stored and used to generate inspection reports and further statistical evaluations.
Dr. Wolfram Deutsch introduces the host company KARL DEUTSCH and shows us how a 35 m long system for ultrasonic testing of seamless tubes works. This impressive machine is used for testing pipe diameters of approx. 100 – 300 mm as well as pipe lengths of up to 14 m and will be delivered to an Eastern European customer during the summer of 2021.
At the end of the event, there will be enough time and space for you to network and a small snack.
